Ellen Czaya is a flute player and composer from Berlin, Germany. Trained as a classcial and jazz musician, she has a broad range of musical interests. She likes combining jazz sensibilities with folk melodies from all continents. Among her projects are ungoing collaborations with Thomas Loefke (celtic harp, Norland Wind), Borries Schlüter (piano) and Oli Bott (vibraphone). She has played with Latin American musicians such as Alfredo Portillo (Argentinian harp), Martin Iannacone (cello, Tango Crash) and Pablo Daniel Garcia (guitar). In 2009 she started up her new band with Jürgen Bickl, Mike Parker and Ruben Grós.
Ellen Czaya ist eine Berliner Flötistin und Komponistin. Ausgebildet in klassischer und Jazzflöte ist sie in vielen Musikstilen zu Haus. Sie kombiniert gerne ihre Jazz-Einflüsse mit Melodien aller Kontinente. Zu ihren Projekten zählt die Zusammenarbeit mit Thomas Loefke (Keltische Harfe, Norland Wind), Borries Schlüter (Piano) und Oli Bott (Vibraphon). Ausserdem hat sie mit südamerikanischen Musikern wie Alfredo Portillo (Argentinische Harfe), Martin Iannacone (Cello, Tango Crash) und Pablo Daniel Garcia (Gitarre) zusammen gespielt.
2009 gründete Ellen ihre neue Band mit Jürgen Bickl, Mike Parker and Ruben Grós.
